Analog Devices authors compare FPGA fixed-point modeling with an earlier SVREAL-generated implementation
Analog Devices CSS authors published an industrial case study of a synthesizable fixed-point SystemVerilog model for a Voice Coil Motor driver, derived from analog equations and deployed on FPGA for real-time emulation. The paper compares the implementation with an earlier automated real-number RTL generation flow using the SVREAL library, reports reduced FPGA resource use for the manual fixed-point implementation, and validates model fidelity against the reference analog behavioral model.
