Cadence and Intel authors present real-valued SystemVerilog covergroups for mixed-signal functional coverage
At DVCon 2012, Cadence's Prabal K. Bhattacharya, Intel's Scott Little, and coauthors proposed extending SystemVerilog coverpoints to accept real-valued data for analog and mixed-signal functional coverage. The work reports a prototype following a year-long Cadence research-and-development effort and addresses real-valued bins and ranges, range precision, coverage scoring, cross coverage, and remaining floating-point issues. The affiliations are specific to this paper and do not imply methodology transfer between the companies.
