Medtronic author reports plan- and metric-driven mixed-signal verification for a medical-device IC
A DVCon 2011 paper by Medtronic's Gregg Sarkinen reports applying an integrated analog/digital verification environment to a mixed-signal medical-device IC prototype. The flow used a verification plan, constrained-random stimulus, checkers, reusable models, and coverage closure. The paper reports more than 3,000 mixed-signal simulations with automated pass/fail results.
